The purpose of the Friends of the Antwerp Sunshine Library (FASL) is to maintain an association of persons interested in books and libraries, to assist in promoting knowledge of and participation in library programs, to aid in providing funds to meet special library needs, to support and cooperate with the library in developing library services and facilities for the community; to promote gifts of books, magazines, collections, endowments, and bequests; to partner with other organizations to enhance the role of the library and the FASL in the community; and to provide a channel for the expression of ideas for library use and service.
Since organizing in 1990, the Friends of the Antwerp Sunshine Library have provided
funding and volunteer support for the following activities and projects:
